I require a gas connection to my new build. What do I need?

I require a gas connection to my multi-unit site. What do I need?

To apply for gas connections to your development, we will require a Plan of Subdivision, Council Addressing, and Site plan with marked proposed gas locations. Please send through an enquiry and our team will reach out to you for further details.

I require a gas connection to an existing property. What do I need?

To apply for a gas connection to your home, we will require your Site plan with proposed gas location. Please send through an enquiry, and mention if the gas service line has been removed on property or is still currently installed. Our team will reach out to you for further details.

What does the application entail?

STELA Group can apply for your gas connections on your behalf. We manage the application from start to finish ensuring the gas service lines, and gas meter are installed prior to your settlement. We liaise with your chosen retailer and Gas authorities to ensure that you are connected. Please note that we do not install the Gas service lines. I’m planning to subdivide a vacant lot with the intention to sell. Do I need to have Gas provisions available for future occupiers?

No, a gas provision is not required when planning your subdivision. Live gas services can only be completed during the construction phases of a new build.

What do I need to have my site ready for a Service Line installation?

To ensure that the Gas authorities proceed with your installation, we require the sites to be at lock up stage, site clear of obstruction, scaffolding, rubbish, and materials.

Please note that as of 1st of January, 2024. the Victoria Government has partially restricted new residential gas connections.

This restriction does not apply to:

  • Single dwelling homes
  • Land developments and residential builds with existing planning permits approved or submitted prior to 1st of January, 2024.
  • Industrial and commercial connections and land developments. Please ensure that you satisfy this criteria prior to requesting for a gas connection.

I need my gas service line abolished prior to demolition. How do I proceed?

To apply for an abolishment, we will require photos of the existing gas meter(s) to be removed, and the MIRN number(s) associated with the meter(s). Please have this ready and send through your enquiry below.

I need other services to be abolished as well. Can STELA have this organised?

Our team can arrange to have your Telecommunications, Gas, and Power disconnected. Please include what services you require abolished in your enquiry, and for our team to best assist you.
